From Hillary Rea:
Three years ago I produced and hosted Rashomon, a live storytelling event that included both storytellers on stage and audio recordings interspersed throughout. The audio interviews were the catalyst to bring this concept to podcast form. Inspired by the 1950 Kurosawa film and the clinical psychology term “Rashomon Effect,” each episode focuses on the story of an event multiple members of a family experienced. The definition of family is loose and doesn’t have to fit any societal stereotype, character trope, or traditional mold.
